What’s on the horizon at the upcoming NYPresbyterian/Columbia University Breast Care Management conference, May 22, 2019, 12:15 - 5:15 pm (3.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits).

Here’s what’s in store for physicians, surgeons, oncologists, nurses, and clinicians involved in the management and treatment of patients with breast cancer. Exhibits also on display.

A Course For:

This program has been designed for primary care physicians, internists, general surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiologists, psychologists, nurses, and any other clinicians involved in the management and treatment of patients with breast cancer.

Overview:

This program will review the controversies in breast cancer screening and highlight new imaging modalities. Emphasis will be given on issues related to management of DCIS, prevention and minimizing breast surgery. New advances will be highlighted including new options for breast reconstruction, use of immunotherapy in breast cancer and personalized breast cancer treatments. Active areas of most promising research and clinical trials will be discussed. The format of this program will consist of lectures with panel discussions. Radiology, medical oncology, genetics, surgery, plastic surgery, pathology, and radiation oncology will present areas of clinical relevance and current controversies will be highlighted.

Accreditation:

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Columbia University Department of Surgery and Amedco LLC. Amedco LLC is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
