My Little Cherry Blossom

My Little Cherry Blossom. As I traveled afar to see my little cherry blossom, it was a trip of inspiration and education. What touched me most was to learn and see how my little blossom had sprout to become the young beautiful woman I have always dreamed she would become.
From the moment we greeted to our sad farewell, our short visit was heartwarming and welcomed with love and joy. I knew as a “Mom” I did my job and did it well. As a mother that is all we can ask of ourselves – to see our young seeds ‘sprout’ up with joy to become the person they desire to be.

No matter wind, nor rain, nor shine will darken the dreams of my little cherry blossom. She is exploring, on an adventure of her lifetime, from education to employment to life experiences filled with exhilaration and ecstasy. She pushes forward to live her dreams. While she sprouts and until she completes her final flight, I am comforted to know that my sprout is content and in full bloom -- in a happy place. Her smiles are radiant!

The seeds of a Cherry Blossom tree in full bloom remind me of my gal. Beautiful, pink and everlasting from season to season, spreading her wings. The seeds may shift, blow and fly like the wind but over time they all land and find their nesting place.
My adventure at Sundance in Utah reminded me of the Komen Race for the Cure Cherry Blossom trees I have come to know very well. My pink Survivorship days and the love and joy I have with family. I see the sprouts of my labor of love, and every Spring our seasonality of Cherry Blossom trees back East which also remind me of Zucchini Blossoms flowering – all so beautiful!

Whether the blooms are sprouting or in full bloom, they exude wonderful color and grace. Very much like my gal. My daughter’s adventure continues while I watch from afar with love, devotion and support. She knows she has a shoulder to lean on, to weather the storms, and always a shoulder to cry on -- she knows her mother will always be here for her.
Just like the breeze whisking in the wind – like the Cherry Blossom tree.
